Our Story
Sajni Rai
Growing up, Sajni (pronounced sudge-knee) found the most joy in the arts. She sang in a cappella groups, choreographed dances, painted, and so much more.
She became a Clinical Perfusionist - someone essentially responsible for keeping patients alive by operating a heart-lung machine during open heart surgery in 2015. With this intense career, she gradually lost that creative fulfillment she had growing up.
Sajni began making candles in November 2020 as a stress reliever for caring for COVID patients. What started out as a creative outlet, rapidly became a passion and career.

Rooh Candle Co is a NYC-based fragrance company. Every single candle is hand-poured, labeled, and packaged by Sajni.
Rooh is committed to creating an inviting experience through its minimalistic and classic candles, using sustainable products such as reusable vessels, soy wax, and cruelty, phthalate, and paraben-free premium fragrance oils.
